Why are we emphasizing the 2nd Flush? rather than the 1st Flush?  Because in India, the 1st flush season is the monsoon season and the 2nd flush is the drought season-so it is a different season than the regular 1st flush season in Japan.  The monsoon season brings all of the rain into the soil to the tea leaves, so the 2nd flush in India is the best time to pick the tea leaves!
