What exactly is platinum silicone?  
A type of silicone that uses only platinum (white gold) as a catalyser, which increases its quality, apart from silicone’s other properties,making it the best type of silicone to use for products that come in direct contact with food.  It is safe for food use because it does not leave any residue, and doesn't alter the flavor of your foods, allowing it to cook evenly.
